NASHVILLE! Can't wait to go back!

Well let's just say it was awesome! We arrived Wednesday in Nashville as a surprise bday gift to Tyson, and surprise again- his brother and wife came from NC to meet up! Sadly I had to leave my lovely Canon camera at home, so Amy (Tyler's wife) and I took turns taking pictures with our point and shoots, so I will post a few more pics when I get them from Amy.

Got to the hotel, went downstairs to our pub at the Hilton, and the boys (Tyson and his brother Tyler) started us off with a beer bong thingy that went to the ceiling (almost)

We (Tyler, his wife Amy, Tyson and I) went out to the Honky Tonks, after getting the lay of the land we ended up watching Matt Mason at The Stage.

And who walks in, but Ronnie Dunn from Brooks and Dunn. Tyler didn't believe him, but we had seats on the second level and from above I saw highlighted hair...and normal men don't have highlights...

A few minutes later he was on stage singing 3 songs with the band! A bar with 50 people soon filled to the brim. Thanks Chelsea for mentioning how cool "The Stage" was! We loved it.

Sorry I am no videographer, I tried to pan the room- big dark mess ;)

Thursday we went to the Opry Mall, and ate at this amazing aquarium restaurant...

Complete with it's own marine biologist staff, nice shot- right?! ;)

That night we got to get a drink with Ray Scott and his lovely wife (http://rayscott.musiccitynetworks.com/) Ray is a friend of Amy's. He then pointed us to visit Printer's Ally- interesting to say the least. And I think that was the night we went to Coyote Ugly. Probably would have been better on a busy night...

Next day we took in the sites of downtown...

Friday night was the Wildhorse Saloon (house band was disappointing). So we took our horse ride through downtown on Dolly Parton (the Horse's name). I swear our "driver" was drunk driving, if that counts on a horse. And we thought we heard bats (probably birds in the trees) and our driver said "if it was a bat- you'd know it, he'd just sit on the sidewalk"... haha funny image

Then back out to the Honky Tonk's. We saw this cool bar on a roof, and figured out how to get up there. It had to be the ONLY IMO/Alternative bar in all of Nashville. Tyson being a good old boy was a little weirded out, so we left and on our way down the stairs I saw my friend Mat Kearney(http://www.matkearney.com/)! We grew up in Eugene together and have know him since 4th grade- rockin my tomboy Umbro soccer shorts. We got to meet his GF- sorry ladies, she's adorable.

Saturday we rented a car and went to Loveless Cafe (http://www.lovelesscafe.com/)- Best biscuit's I've ever had- this place is famous, she's been on Martha S. Worth the drive! We went to Opry Hotel for dinner at the Jack Daniel's Restaurant, it was larger and worse than a casino to get around in. It's one of the 7th largest hotels in the world... they need golf carts for ladies in heels.

That night was our Opry Concert with Keith Urban...So Hott!

Sunday it was back home to Chelan...But we saw a country/singer everyday, they weren't kidding when they called it Music city. Everyone was super polite and nice. We need to come back again to see some performances at the Ryman (original Opry). We can't wait!
